Vocational Research Interest Inventory
The Vocational Research Interest Inventory (VRII), a 162-item
interest assessment, measures a user’s interest in 12 scales which correspond
to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Interest Areas.
Written at a fourth grade reading level, VRII offers age and gender-based
norms, as well as VRI’s powerful Individual Profile Analysis
(IPA). This IPA methodology, an exclusive to VRI interest assessments,
identifies significant preferences within each evaluee’s unique
12-scale profile.
The VRII is also available in Spanish, known as IIIV, Inventario
Investigativo de Interes Vocacional. The Spanish IIIV has been reviewed
and approved by a panel of Hispanic professionals from diverse cultural
and geographical backgrounds. Norms are based exclusively upon the
responses of Hispanic U.S. citizens.
The VRII offers self-administration instructions, hand scoring and
fill-in graphic score displays that are accompanied by user-friendly
explanatory text.
